An FCA looks at how your disability affects your everyday activities, such as mobility, self-care, communication, social interaction, learning, and self-management. It provides important evidence to support NDIS funding decisions, plan reviews, or new support requests.
A SIL assessment focuses on whether you need daily paid personal supports to live safely and independently at home. It helps provide the evidence needed to apply for or review SIL funding, which pays for daily support workers, not housing.
An SDA assessment looks at whether you need a specially designed or modified home due to very high support needs or extreme functional impairment. This assessment provides evidence for SDA funding, which pays for the specialised housing itself, not for daily care or support workers.
